How Marina Bay was carved out of the sea

Land reclamation work at the Marina Bay started off in the 60s. The bay was formed by land reclamation work that span more than 2 decades.

Roads in CBD to be closed for 'Car-Free Sunday' initiative in 2016

The Urban Redevelopment Authority will be launching a pilot "Car-Free Sunday" in parts of the Civic and Central Business Districts starting Feb 28.

New site at Marina Bay to be released for development

1.1-ha reserve list site at Marina Bay excites market. This is the most prime office site that has come on the market since 2007, when the Asia Square sites were sold.

Cloud forests and waterfalls in high-rise

Marina Bay - now and then

The top photo was taken in the 70s. The photo below was taken from the same angle. The only visible buildings I can use as a reference in the old photo which can be found in the new photo is The Custom House and Clifford Pier, which are located at the bottom left of the photos. 

Visibly, we now have The Sail and The Marina Bay Financial Centre (MBFC) forming part of the new Marina Bay Skyline.
